The Salvation Equation

A (Your Part)  +  B (God’s Part)  =  C (Eternal Life)

Confusing Questions

Are You Saved?

In light of the Salvation Equation’s truth, do you now recognize the ambiguity behind this ubiquitous church question … “Are you saved?”  What in the world are they asking?  If they’re talking about term “B” (what Jesus did to make “forgiveness of sins” available for our salvation) of course we are!  Everyone in the world is saved in that regard, whether they know about Jesus’ story or not.  Do you understand?  Your knowledge of Jesus’ story, your belief in his story, or lack of belief in his story, can NOT change the fact that “forgiveness of sins” is available to you.  In other words, God’s part in salvation is secure!  It is an unchangeable fact!  So, if a person is referring to term “B” in the Salvation Equation when asking the question “Are you saved?” the answer is ALWAYS, “Yes!”  It’s actually an idiotic question in that regard.

Now, if the person is referring to term “A” in the Salvation Equation when asking “Are you saved?” the correct answer should be … “Well, (ma’am or sir), I’m actively working on that day by day, hour by hour, and second by second, by always striving to live a repentant lifestyle by keeping God’s 10 Love Commandments.  Hopefully, God will accept me into His Kingdom on that last and final day.  Thanks for asking, though.”  Do you see the humility in that answer?  Do you see this person TRULY knows what THEY MUST DO to obtain salvation (eternal life)?  How smart.  How wise!  How repentant!

But we all know what a modern day churchgoer is getting at with this “Are you saved?” question, don’t we?  It stems from incorrect salvational doctrine!  They believe what a person MUST DO to obtain eternal life is learn about term “B” (what Jesus did) and then “believe that story” in their heart to be true.  If you do this, they think, that is ALL you have to do to obtain eternal life.  That belief usually accompanies a trip to a church altar somewhere, followed by a few prayerful words.  Then, that’s it!  You’re saved forever!  That, my friend, is probably Satan’s most damnable lie he tells in today’s church world!  I urge you to expose this lie every chance you get, pointing people to this website if you must.  Let’s help our brothers and sisters learn the TRUTH about salvation, giving them an honest chance at obtaining eternal life.  And let’s give the devil a black eye!

Have You Received The Free Gift Of Salvation?

Here’s another modern day church question we hear trumpeted repeatedly these days … “Have you received the free gift of salvation?”  But what in the world does that mean!  How does one DO that?

Listen, simply put, term “B” in the Salvation Equation was/is the FREE GIFT!  The Apostle John wrote it like this: “For God so loved the world that He GAVE His only begotten son …” (John 3:16).  Do you understand?  No one made God, no one forced God, no one cajoled God, God CHOSE FREELY to send His sinless son, Jesus Christ, into the world to pay sin’s death sentence.  And in so doing, term “B” in the Salvation Equation became a reality!  Jesus Christ’s “death” now sits there AVAILABLE to ANYONE in the world as the payment price for the sins they’ve committed.  Put another way, this simply means EVERYONE in the world has the potential to be “forgiven of their sins” through Christ Jesus’ redemptive work, and thus to obtain eternal life.  And that AVAILABILITY of “forgiveness for sins” was God’s FREE GIFT to mankind, through Christ Jesus our Lord, as Paul wrote: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).  Pretty cool, huh?

Well, some may say … if it’s a GIFT, then why do I have to DO something to get it (eternal life)?  Look, it’s like this analogy … I’m GIVING you a GIFT of one million dollars, but I’m putting it in a safety deposit box in a bank in Anchorage, Alaska, so you’ll have to GO and GET it.  Do you understand?  Is my one million dollars now NOT a gift, because you have to travel to get it?  Are you kidding?  Of course my money is a gift, for you did NOTHING to earn it or make me give it to you.  I FREELY chose to GIVE you a GIFT of a million bucks!  BUT, again, you will have to DO something to obtain it … namely, travel to Alaska.  Likewise, God’s GIFT is eternal life (forgiveness of sins) through Christ Jesus our Lord, but you WILL have to DO something to get (obtain) it.

So, again, what do WE (as human beings) have to DO to obtain (or “receive”) this “forgiveness for sins” and obtain eternal life?  Say it with me … TERM “A” in the Salvation Equation!!!  REPENT!!!  Continually keep God’s 10 Love Commandments)!!!  NOTHING ELSE will work!  So I ask you, is THIS what a modern day churchgoer is asking of YOU when they ask, “Have you RECEIVED the free gift of salvation?”  Or are they wondering whether or not you have walked up in front of a church at one time or another, somewhere back in your life, and said some prayer?  Sadly, I think the latter is almost always the case!  And thus, this question has become yet another product of incorrect, modern day, hell-leading, salvational church doctrine.

Have You Accepted Jesus Christ As Your Personal Savior?

Oh my, here we go again!  Here’s another question that’s spoken CONTINUALLY among today’s Church world … “Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior?”  Are you kidding me?  What on God’s green Earth does THAT mean?

Do you want to know the truth?  The ONLY time the word “accept” (or some derivative thereof) is used in the Bible, with respect to our salvation, it’s always GOD having to accept US!!!  And when will God accept you?  ONLY when you DO part “A” in the Salvation Equation … REPENT (turn from your sins)!  Listen to these verses:

“If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted” (Genesis 4:7)

“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer” (Psalms 19:14)

“The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness” (Proverbs 10:32)

“Thus saith the Lord unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the LORD doth NOT accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins” (Jeremiah 14:10)

“God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth Him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with Him” (Acts 10:34-35)

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:1-2)

“For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.  For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God” (Romans 14:17-18)

“Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of Him.  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad” (II Corinthians 5:9-10)

“For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth; proving what is acceptable unto the Lord” (Ephesians 5:9-10)

“That we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour” (I Timothy 2:2-3)

“Wherefore, we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear” (Hebrews 12:28)

See, there’s only ONE “acceptance” taking place in these Bible verses with respect to our salvation … GOD accepts US!  Never once does the Bible say, “We need to ACCEPT Jesus, who is God!”  Can you imagine?  Can you hear the haughtiness, the pride of this statement?  What possible right do YOU have to ACCEPT God?  Insanity!

Listen, there’s only ONE thing you NEED to DO to obtain eternal life … humble yourself and obey your God!  DO what Jesus (God) continually taught … repent of sin and KEEP God’s 10 Love Commandments!  It’s ALL just part “A” in the Salvation Equation!  And THEN, and ONLY THEN, will you find that GOD will accept YOU!  Don’t every forget that.  This prideful question “Have you accepted Jesus as your personal saviour” should never again be spoken among Christians.  It is yet, just another ambiguous question coined by today’s deceived church world, inspired by Satan, to take the light off of truth (God’s 10 Love Commandments!) and keep you in the dark concerning what you REALLY must DO to obtain salvation (eternal life).

  1. Good afternoon sir,
I first visited your website yesterday,by accident I must add and what I read left me trembling. It was a good kind of trembling though. I have not read most of what you publish anywhere else and it was all new to me. I have been around what you call churchianity most of my life but lately I have become dissatisfied with much of what we do in our Sunday services. I have not attended a church service in almost two months but I have continued to seek how I might please God.
I want to know what your position is with regard to the the words in John 1:11-12 about receiving Him. I know for a fact that one cannot claim to love God and willfully disobey Him,for obedience to God’s commandments is the only true test of discipleship in spite of how one may claim to love Him.
Again I found your website challenging but also informative as it contains timely warning for anyone who cares about their spiritual life.
God bless you abundantly as you minister His word to this generation.

    • Hi bro Paul,

To “receive” Christ means to receive his message, his teachings, proved by one’s desire to obey those teachings. It’s that simple.

And since we know Christ’s teachings were all based on the 10 Love Commandments (10LC), therefore, to “receive Christ” means to keep the 10LC.

I’m working on a 12 part series right now on The Salvation Equation, and we’re going to cover everything in this series. Keep an eye out for it!

Continued spiritual blessings to you and yours!
